چکیده

Akkermansia muciniphila (A. muciniphila) play an important in ameliorating obesity but is not allowed for direct consumption most countries. To date, microbiota-directed foods selectively promote the targeted human gut microbes, providing a strategy A. enhancement. Multiple studies have indicated potential regulation of polyphenol on muciniphila. Therefore, screening based upregulation was performed mice. Chlorogenic acid (CGA) exhibited greater response to upregulation. Furthermore, we found that CGA did directly growth or mucin secretion. Microbiome and metabolomics revealed increased abundance resulted from inhibition Desulfovibrio Alistipes influence docosahexaenoic acid, β-hydroxybutyrate, N-acetyl-lactosamine. Finally, confirm under disease conditions, high-fat diet-fed mice were established. The results showed promoted growth, expectedly suppressed augment body weight mice, significantly attenuated adipose tissue abnormality, provided liver protection improved barrier integrity. These suggest inhibits development obesity. Overall, our indicate food promising approach treatment

Chlorogenic acid/chromium supplement rescues diet-induced insulin resistance and obesity in mice

Abdominal obesity is a major risk factor for insulin resistance, type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular diseases. Dietary fat induces insulin resistance in humans and rodents. The current study investigates whether a Chlorogenic acid/Chromium III supplement rescues obesity and insulin resistance caused by high-fat feeding of male C57BL/6 J mice for 7 weeks. Administering an oral daily dose of this ...

The Polyphenol Chlorogenic Acid Attenuates UVB-mediated Oxidative Stress in Human HaCaT Keratinocytes

We investigated the protective effects of chlorogenic acid (CGA), a polyphenol compound, on oxidative damage induced by UVB exposure on human HaCaT cells. In a cell-free system, CGA scavenged 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl radicals, superoxide anions, hydroxyl radicals, and intracellular reactive oxygen species (ROS) generated by hydrogen peroxide and ultraviolet B (UVB). Furthermore, CGA absorb...

Evidences for Chlorogenic Acid — A Major Endogenous Polyphenol Involved in Regulation of Ripening and Senescence of Apple Fruit

To learn how the endogenous polyphenols may play a role in fruit ripening and senescence, apple pulp discs were used as a model to study the influences of chlorogenic acid (CHA, a major polyphenol in apple pulp) on fruit ripening and senescence. Apple ('Golden Delicious') pulp discs prepared from pre-climacteric fruit were treated with 50 mg L(-1) CHA and incubated in flasks with 10 mM MES buff...

A Comparison of Chlorogenic Acid and Catechol as Substrates for the Polyphenol Oxidase from Tobacco and Mushroom.

It is reported that chlorogenic acid is widely distributed in plants (7) and is the principle polyphenol in tobacco leaves (8). When the tissues of the tobacco plant are injured, the polyphenols are oxidized and then polymerize, forming a brown pigment. This oxidation is reported to be catalyzed by polyphenol oxidase. Polyphenol oxidase has been identified in many species of plants and the enzy...

Chlorogenic acid and caffeic acid are absorbed in humans.

Chlorogenic acid, an ester of caffeic acid and quinic acid, is a major phenolic compound in coffee; daily intake in coffee drinkers is 0.5-1 g. Chlorogenic acid and caffeic acid are antioxidants in vitro and might therefore contribute to the prevention of cardiovascular disease. However, data on the absorption of chlorogenic acid and caffeic acid in humans are lacking. We determined the absorpt...
